Topic:

Parents and childcare providers can make a significant difference in a child's readiness for school. Understanding appropriate language development and reading readiness skills for preschool children are only part of the picture. Parents also need to know things they can do at home to help their children get ready for kindergarten. This session will address the new Texas Pre-K Guidelines for language and preliteracy development and what to look for in a good childcare program.
